300!
You guys are amazing - this morning we reached 300 followers! That might not seem like a ton, but I think of it this way; if you all donated $1 you could start to pay my rent for a month. That kind of thinking is encouraging! Maybe someday, someone with a ton of money will read this and Join the Friends of the Zoological Museum! Because DYK I do all of this work at the UMZM for free? It’s true: at the end of volunteering for the PLWZM sometimes 8 or 9 hours a day, I still have to go to a paying job at night to afford my rent. I do it for the love of the museum, but still, I get tired. So please! If you appreciate all of my hard work and everything on this blog, I would appreciate you helping us out to afford things like garbage bags so the next time we have a dermestid infestation I don’t have to run around the building emptying trashes to steal their bags. I digress.
I’m pretty bummed that it’s President’s Day because I have a lot of work to do in the Museum and kind of have to leave it up to fate if Public Safety will leave the building unlocked. I spent most of Saturday painting in the lab (I have been using it as my studio on the weekend) — there is nothing quite like painting next to a dermestid colony.
